STATEMENT OF  FAITH

We believe that there is only one true and living God, eternally existent in three persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth (John 10:30; Matthew 28:19; Hebrews 13:8; Romans 11:33-36; Revelation 19:1; I Peter 1:15-16; Psalm 118:29; Palm 100:5).

We believe in God the Father, who encompasses characteristics of both father and mother, who is the Creator of the universe and the human race, and who has the elements of personality: intellect, feelings, and will (Isaiah 66:12-13; John 20:17; Romans 1:20).

We believe in Jesus Christ, who was born of the Virgin Mary, was fully human and fully divine, led a sinless life, was crucified for the sins of the world, was buried, arose bodily on the third day, and ascended to Heaven where He is now sitting at the right hand of God making intercession for believers. He will return to gather together all believers to be with Him (Matthew 1:20; John 8:58; Hebrews 4:15; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Mark 16:9; Hebrews 7:25; I Thessalonians 4:16-17).

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts of the need of salvation, seals believers until the day of redemption, indwells all believers and teaches them all things, and empowers them to worship, witness, and serve (John 16:8; Ephesians 1:13; John 14:26; Acts 1:8).

We believe that salvation is offered to all because all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. We further believe that salvation is received by faith, not works, through the personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for all believers (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:23-25).

We believe that all scripture is God-breathed, inerrant in the original manuscripts, and beneficial for instructing, correcting, rebuking, and training in righteousness (II Timothy 3:16).

We believe in observing water baptism and communion as set forth by God in the scriptures (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4; Luke 22:19; I Corinthians 11: 23-29).

We believe in the literal existence of heaven and hell. Heaven is the eternal dwelling place of the triune God and his angels, and the final destination of all believers, where there is no death, pain, suffering, or sin. Hell is the place prepared for the eternal punishment of the devil and his angels, where they and all non-believers will be forever separated from God and tormented by unquenchable fire and utter darkness (I Peter 3:22; Philippians 3:20; Revelation 21:4, 27; Matthew 25:41; Revelation 20:10-15; Matthew 8:12).
